Church on a River 2024

Annual Church on a River + Baptism: Join the floatilla from Jackson Dam to Pacific Creek on Sunday, July 28, 2024 after church. Be there by 1:30 p.m. as we launch at 2:00 p.m. sharp. Bring your own PFD or SUP or get on the waitlist, currently the St. John's rafts are full. If you have your own stand up paddleboard or duckie, please remember to get a permit for the watercraft before you get on the water at the visitors center.
Don't forget the sunscreen and snack bag! All attendees should sign the waiver if you are planning to attend. Let us know if you're interested in a baptism.
Shuttle information: We are hoping everyone will be at the river below the Dam by 1:30 p.m. Ready to launch at 2:00 p.m. Driving time from town to the river parking below the Dam is about 1 hour. Driving time from Pacific Creek parking to the Dam is 15 minutes. There are two ways to use the shuttle.
- Arrive at the Dam by 12:15 p.m. Unload your water crafts and guests. One person leave the Dam by 12:30 p.m. driving down to the Pacific Creek parking area. At 12:50 p.m. a big white bus will shuttle all those drivers back to the Dam to join the floatilla!
- Floaters drive up the Dam river access and unload their water crafts. Then park there in the parking lot. The big white shuttle bus will be at the take out after the float to take one or two trips as needed from Pacific Creek back up to the Dam to your vehicles!
