Meet Cora Ligori
My name is Cora Ligori and I’ve attended St. John’s Episcopal Church while serving in many capacities since I moved to the valley from North Carolina in 2007. I did not grow up attending an Episcopal church, but I have always been moved by how St. John’s serves the Jackson Hole Community. I believe in the goals, vision, and mission, which is why I support A Legacy of Love Campaign.
Browse ‘n Buy became a special place for me right away. I visited the store early in my marriage when I was equipping our home with all the necessities. I completed my grandmother’s set of Spode Christmas China, my first season in Jackson, by walking into Browse ‘n Buy on Black Friday and finding many serving pieces. It has been a gift that keeps giving as our children get excited for the Advent season the moment our Spode is on display. When babies were on the way, my money went even further by finding lightly loved items for the nursery. Now with growing kids who change sizes rapidly, I purchase and donate often.
Browse ‘n Buy is such a gift to our family.
My involvement in the Legacy of Love Campaign, has taught me about the enormous amount of money raised at Browse ‘n Buy going back into the community. The new building will replace an inadequate one and ensure a more profitable shopping experience. By housing the Jackson Cupboard and creating a new and improved space for the Jackson Hole Recovery Community, we are directly serving a population of locals. Since housing continues to be a barrier for the workforce in our valley, the affordable housing for St. John’s staff is a bonus.
So many have already generously donated to this project, and I am proud to be a supporter as well. I enjoy meeting with parishioners and sharing more about this project. When you are asked for a visit, please say yes, even if you don’t have the financial capacity to give. You will not regret the connections made and your prayers for this project are as valued as gold.
