The Reverend Gina L. Gore is our August chaplain at the Chapel of the Transfiguration. She comes to us from New York City where she is Associate Priest for Children & Family Ministries at St. Luke in the Fields. Additionally, she is an Honorary Assistant at St. Thomas Fifth Avenue, and serves on the Bishop’s committee for church planting. Gina was ordained in Los Angeles in 2016. She and her family were early members of Thad’s in Culver City, CA under the founding rector, The Rev. Jimmy Bartz. It was there that Gina first explored children, youth and family ministry through the leadership of Cindy Bartz. As a seminarian, she served at Church of the Advent, an Afro-Caribbean church in Los Angeles, developing interest in multicultural and interfaith ministries. After ordination, she was Associate Priest and Chaplain for Children, Youth & Family at St. Wilfrid of York Church and Preschool in Huntington Beach, CA. A native of Denver, CO, Gina holds a Bachelor of Science in Music from the University of Colorado, a Certificate of Anglican Studies from Bloy House and a Master Of Divinity from Episcopal Divinity School. Gina moved to New York City in 2017 with her husband, Kevin and daughter, Isabella (13). Their older children are Bailey (19) and Sophie (22). Gina and Isabella are excited to be visiting Wyoming for the first time. When not at the Chapel, they’ll be exploring hiking, food, the Art Association and more.
