We interview volunteers from around the church about why they love St. John’s and how they find belonging. Today we’re chatting with Robyn Reed, Director of Operations and Audiovisual guru volunteer extraordinaire. Here's a little bit about Robyn. When the opportunity to stream our church services came up during the pandemic, Robyn stepped up to the plate. She has previous experience with Audiovisual volunteer ministry at a former church in Atlanta, GA, and sought the opportunity to work with her team from Georgia who set up the system. From there we built the A/V team, who always work in pairs and volunteer once monthly. The training is minimal and the system is easy to learn with many presets on the video board and sound board. Everyone can easily find their groove and learn the system while always having a back up buddy to troubleshoot. For Robyn it was the perfect fit for her volunteer ministry with St. John's. She loves working for St. John's but as her church family, giving back in a volunteer capacity is important to her. One of the best parts of being part of a volunteer team is the relationships built while working together.
