Period Project
Girls in Wyoming – including girls in Teton County – are missing school because they don’t have access to period products!
SNAP benefits do not cover period products and they’re taxable in the grocery store because they’re considered “luxury items” putting them out of reach for many families. We know that these are essential products, so a group of community organizations and volunteers (affectionately deemed the Tampon Team) launched the Period Project to make sure that girls and women have full access to period products so that they have full access to their education – and a full life.
Free period products have been placed in the following access points around Jackson and the surrounding areas…
- St. John’s Episcopal Church
- Jackson Elementary
- Colter Elementary
- JH Middle School
- JH High School
- Whole Foods
- JH Community Counseling Center
- Summit High School

- Teton County Jail
- Teton County Parks & Recreation Center
- Teton County Public Administration center
- Central Wyoming College
- Children's Learning Center
