St. John's Outdoors
Since we live in such a spectacular place surrounded by God's creation, we are called to enjoy the beauty by getting outside to play. St. John's Outdoors is an opportunity to hike, fish, or float, in fellowship with your St. John's family. Please RSVP and sign the waiver prior to the event.
Summer 2024 Offerings
Annual Church on a River + BaptismThis year the floatilla from Jackson Dam to Pacific Creek will be on Sunday, July 28, 2024 after church. Be there by 1:30 p.m. as we launch at 2:00 p.m. sharp. Bring your own PFD or SUP or get on the waitlist, currently the St. John's rafts are full. If you have your own stand up paddleboard or duckie, please remember to get a permit for the watercraft before you get on the water at the visitors center.
Monday, July 15 - Fishing excursion to Crystal Creek: Meet at the Crystal Creek Trailhead Parking at 10:00 a.m. for a day of fishing Crystal Creek. Pack a lunch, water, rain gear, bear spray, sunscreen, bug repellant and all you will need for a day of fishing Crystal Creek. We will hike a bit more than a mile with some elevation gain in order to reach our fishing spot. We’ll end our day sometime midafternoon and make our way back into town. RSVP required, so that we know to wait for you at the trailhead. This is an area of the Gros Ventre Mountains with no cell phone service. Please RSVP to Chandler at [email protected].
