Belonging to a Team
We interview volunteers from around the church about why they love St. John's and how they're finding belonging. Today, we're chatting with JR Dalby. JR lives in Jackson and has been in the valley for 12 years working as a security professional. He serves as the Junior Warden on the vestry and is the original audiovisual guru on our team. He is inspired by the work and the people of St. John's Church.
We've forever changed the way we are bringing church each week and livestreamed services are here to stay. From our initial recordings on an iPhone 11 to a state-of-the-art recording system, our audiovisual knowledge has come a long way. The installation of 4 cameras in the fall of 2020 and a fifth in 2021, allows us to stream from a variety of locations in the church and Hansen Hall. We are so grateful to our audiovisual team for their willingness to grow and attend trainings. Our viewership is a fun metric where we can see how we connect with folks from around the state, country and world!
JR says, "For me this has been a great learning experience, going from the iPhone to what we have now! This has been a true team effort. Each one of us brings unique skill."
