Better Together
In Paul’s first letter to the church in Corinth, he says that he and his other compadres in mission are “fools for Christ.” Most certainly your church staff is following in Paul’s nearly two thousand year old tradition of foolishness. By now, many of you have witnessed the latest and greatest music video to come out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We’ve abandoned all our self-esteem and pride to come together, face our fear of dancing AND tracksuits in order to visually and sonically demonstrate 2022’s lenten theme—BETTER TOGETHER! We’ve left decorum in an attempt to lure you out of isolation or loneliness, so that our community might welcome or welcome back your gifts, your dreams, your hopes, and any fears and anxieties you might carry along with the positives.
During this season of Lent, we’ll focus on being BETTER TOGETHER. I hope you will join us on Sunday mornings, as we adopt a new prayer posture for our post communion prayer. I hope you will join us on three Wednesday evenings (March 9, March 16, and March 23) for dinner and our lenten course offering—God, an Outroduction! We know that all of us go together like peanut butter and jelly, and, after two long years of being apart, we’re getting the band back together!
