Dream Builders Success
The Dream Builders Luncheon is Teton Habitat's annual opportunity to share their mission and stories in a more intimate setting. The goal is to bring awareness to their work through homeowner stories, a short video, and presentations from long-time supporters. This year was a resounding success, raising more money than ever before due to fervent supporters, an incredible match, and strong sponsorship.
The total raised this year to date is $358,974.87, significantly eclipsing their goal of $300,000!
Teton Habitat is able to build truly affordable homes in the Teton area through the generous support of financial donors. Teton Habitat has a $2.5 million annual operating budget in addition to the money for projects like The Grove and Parkside. These fundraisers and general philanthropy help Teton Habitat for Humanity meet their $2.8 million fundraising goals.
At the Parkside Project on June 27, six new homes for six working families were dedicated and blessed. Welcome baskets, generously donated by the people of St. John's, were provided for the families who were moving into their new Habitat homes. There is also a Habitat home in Sage Meadows welcoming new homeowners this summer who received a basket and welcome mat. St. John's volunteers contributed more than 260 hours towards the completion of the Parkside homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to meet and work with the homeowners, contribute to the need for affordable housing, half-day shifts, no skills needed, a job for everyone, and lunch on St. John's Build Days.
Keep up the good work, Teton County and St. John's!
