Healing Ministry Journey

Since I was asked to join the Healing Ministry Team, I was given the opportunity to grow in my prayer life. What started as a routine of praying at the dinner table and when I needed something, is now comprised of praying with my fellow parish members and total strangers. I knew that I would feel vulnerable and exposed, while listening to and offering prayers for others made me feel a bit uneasy. With the love and encouragement of others, I jumped in, and with some initial fumbling and stumbling,

I have found the Healing Ministry to be the most rewarding thing that I am involved with at St. John's.

On any given Sunday, whether offering or receiving prayers, I truly feel the presence of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives and I am forever thankful for being asked to be a member of this amazing ministry.
