Life Together, Apart
Coffee Hour as we all know it, has had to be put on the back burner. However, parishioners are continuing the tradition of coffee fellowship over Zoom. We have two ongoing virtual coffee hours that occur on Sundays, at 9 a.m. and at noon. Anyone can join. If you would like to be added to the email list to receive the weekly links, please contact Pam. We so look forward to returning to our wonderful traditional coffee hours soon!
Due to the pandemic, we were unable to gather for our usual six popular potlucks. We did have one meal together in February for Taco Tuesday, our annual Shrove Tuesday celebration, and it was well attended. With a little creativity we hosted our Stewardship Sunday brunch outside on the green following the 10 a.m. service under the tent. Thanks to Café Genevieve, we served 115 delicious boxed meals while keeping a safe distance. We can't wait to sit down to share a meal together again. Save the date for our family reunion on Sunday, June 13!
The Flower Team decorated the outside of the church with Easter lilies and the flowered cross for the Easter love hunt. Many helped decorate the church at Christmastime and prepared the greens which we hung for on first week in Advent. Thanks to the volunteers who helped decorate the church with more than 200 poinsettias in the sanctuary.
We have a great team of volunteers who help our online services run smoothly each week and during the holidays. We held summer services outside under the tent and several of our usher team members joined in. Acolytes and readers served during the filming of our virtual Christmas service. We look forward to the day that our servers help with in-person worship again.
Love & Peace,
Pam
