Meet Eric & Allison
Meet the Rev. Allison Liles and the Rev. Dr. Eric Liles, our June Chaplains at the Chapel of the Transfiguration. Eric and Allison have served churches in Alabama, Virginia, and Texas.
Allison is an Alabama native and graduate of Birmingham-Southern College. Allison serves the Diocese of Fort Worth as the priest-in-charge of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Hurst. She is also the editor of GrowChristians.org, a ministry of Forward Movement.
Eric Liles is a native of the Golden State with deep roots in the Lone Star State. After graduating from Texas A&M University, Eric worked as a full-time youth minister in the Diocese of Texas for five years. He then moved to Alexandria, Virginia to attend Virginia Theological Seminary (VTS), where he met his wife Allison Sandlin Liles. Eric’s commitment to education didn’t graduate with him at VTS. He earned a Doctor of Ministry at The School of Theology at the University of the South in 2014 and is presently working toward a masters degree in Professional Counseling.
Allison is an avid reader and pursuer of justice. She is happiest outdoors, wandering in nature, marveling the wonderment of God’s creation. Eric
enjoys traveling, cycling, hiking and camping, the occasional cigar and distilled beverage. Twenty years ago he traded his saxophone for a guitar, and holds out hope to be a singer-songwriter when he grows up. They are the parents of two curious, nature-loving, elementary aged children and two faithfully devoted rescue dogs.
