Senior Center Delivers
The Senior Center of Jackson Hole is working with the most vulnerable population affected by Covid-19. The health and well-being of customers and staff is at the forefront of their actions as they monitor recommendations by local health officials. Although some of their regular offerings are temporarily suspended like exercise classes and community meals, their curbside and to-go meal options are still robust.
Did you know that the Senior Center is currently serving over 60 people through grocery shopping and delivery? In addition, they are offering mail retrieval and delivery to 25 folks in our community. Between their Meals on Wheels home delivery program and curbside pick-up, they served over 2,700 meals for the month of April.
“The Senior Center was a refuge and a Godsend for me when I was really ill. Home health came 2-3 days a week and I received meals on wheels from them daily.” reflects Vicki Johnson, longtime St. John’s parishioner.
“It’s also a place for me to offer help in any way that I can through a variety of volunteer hours. It’s a great place to see old friends at all kinds of functions.”
Anyone over the age of 60 can qualify for these services during the pandemic. The Center is offering lunch and breakfast options and has expanded Meals on Wheels delivery routes to reach more people in rural areas of the county. Delivery days and areas are comprised of the following:
- Town of Jackson: Monday - Friday
- Wilson: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- North of Town: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Hoback (south of Melody Ranch): Tuesday and Thursday

The Jackson Hole News & Guide covered a nice article about the work the senior center is doing for the community. We also found some great movement videos on their YouTube channel.
Nice work, Senior Center. Way to help the community shine!
